ABOUTPASTOR PAUL GOURDINE                 

Rev. Paul Gourdine is an inspiring and charismatic individual who hails from Charleston, South Carolina. With his God-given abilities, he has managed to touch the lives of people from all walks of life, regardless of age.

 

Having been actively involved in Ministry for over 11 years and serving as a pastor for more than 6 years, Gourdine is a dependable and steadfast leader. His passion for his work is evident, as he uses his articulate nature to teach, motivate, and spiritually uplift individuals of all ages.

Gourdine is a graduate of Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX, where he obtained his Bachelor of Administration with a concentration in Computer Information. During his time in undergraduate school, he was ordained as a Baptist at New Life Community Missionary Baptist Church, under the guidance of Dr. V.M Robertson III in Tyler, Texas.

 

Additionally, Gourdine's exposure to different cultures and his innate ability to bring people together on common ground makes him a powerful force in his ministry. He embarked on a 3-month mission trip to Lesotho, South Africa, which solidified his calling to pastoral ministry. Continuing his educational journey, Gourdine completed a Master of Divinity at Interdenominational Theological Seminary (ITC).

 

His reputation for inspiring others is evident as he became the first African American to pastor the Dexter Avenue United Methodist Church, a predominantly white church located on the renowned Dexter Avenue Street in downtown Montgomery, Alabama. Previously, Gourdine served as the Pastor of Community Congregational United Church of Christ and is a regular host on the local TBN Christian station.

 

Following the divine guidance he has received, Gourdine is now the founder and Pastor of Engaged Christian Church, answering the Lord's call to launch this new spiritual community. With his dedication to presenting and sharing the goodness of Jesus Christ in practical and applicable ways, Gourdine continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of those he encounters.
