Originally from Charleston, South Carolina – Rev. Paul Gourdine has managed to inspire people, young and old, from all walks of life as he uses his God given abilities to teach, motivate, and spiritually uplift people of all ages.

 

Gourdine has been actively involved in Ministry for over 11 years and Pastoring full-time for over 6 years. Charismatic, dependable, passionate, articulate, family oriented, inspiring and steadfast leadership are the words that those around him have used to describe Gourdine as a person.

 

 Pastor Gourdine is a graduate of Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins TX. where he recieved his Bachelors of Administration with a concentration in Computer Information. While in undergraduate school he was ordained Baptist at New Life Community Missionary Baptist Church under Dr. V.M Robertson III in Tyler Texas.  In Pastor Gourdine's last year of college he was selected by Global Ministries to do a 3 month Mission trip to Lesotho South Africa and it was there that God confirmed to him a call to Pastoral ministry. After completing undergraduate school Gourdine immediately enrolled and was accepted into Interdenominational Theological Seminary (ITC) where he completed a M.Div. Gourdine  believes God has called us to present and share the goodness of Jesus Christ so that it is practical and applicable to everyday life. Gourdine possesses the innate ability to transcend cultural differences and bring people together on common ground.

His reputation for this ability to inspire is evident by his selection to pastor the Dexter Avenue United Methodist Church. He was the first African American -In American history to ever Pastor a predominately White church on the famed Dexter Avenue Street in down town Montgomery Alabama . Gourdine is the former  Pastor of Community Congregational United Church of Christ, and a regular host of the local TBN Christian station.
